As part of his work, sculptor Marijan Mirt strives to answer serious philosophical and existential questions that touch on visual arts, anthropological shifts, the current state of society and our environment. Human nature is in itself full of riddles. Its position in the cosmos, the phenomenon of time, the relationship between culture and nature, the growing isolation of the individual, migration as a struggle for bare survival, assimilation of nations, different material living conditions in urban and rural areas, gender issues, the role of love and attitude to death are just some fundamental questions that burden a sensitive artist like Mirt.
